So, I went to six flags with my friend Sunday. Of course, when I said I'd go, I didn't really think about it, till I almost got there. And I was like "holy chit! I forgot, I'm terrified of rollercoasters!"
So, I decided to get the bad part over with, started out on the superman, and well... overcame that fear.
Next weekend, I shall overcome my fear of heights, sky diving! :rock

Superman isn't really a roller coaster, but wtg on grabbing the bull by the horns and going for the ride.

Try getting some practice b-4 you go, up some perfectly good planes, and bail for absolutely no good reason. :lol

Here's a cartoon I drew a few years ago... If you look at roller coasters like this, you'll never be afraid of them again :)

Yea, we got this new one called the Goliath, it's probably track-length wise, same as the superman, but sooo fast, and the turns are tighter.
Poltergeist was awesome too. Tony Hawk one was good, but too much spinning at the end. (I spun in place for a good 5 minutes, I thought I was gonna puke)

and there is my problem with rollercoasters. When I was younger, 18 upto about 25, I never had a problem with rollercoasters, I remember one at 6 flags in Dallas it had two loops in it. late at night not very many people, I rode it got off ran got back in line and rode it again, did that 5 or 6 times till 6 Flags closed.
Few years ago went to Fiesta Texas, rode the Superman, no problem, got back in line, rode it again, except this time I tried to look around, instant headache and upset stomach....

I fear nothing except roller coasters (excluding Space Mountain) and Mrs. von Krimm when she has low blood-sugar. I don't know why; I've been in the backseat of commercial a/c in bad storms, F-4s, F-16s, F-15s and a couple of biplanes (well, the front seat on the last) with guys trying to make me toss my cookies and I've never experienced fear. The only thing in this world that gives me the hebbie-jeebies to ride is roller coasters. I think it is the waiting that does it; too much time to think about all the places for a critical component to go "pop."

Yea... same. As we were leaving the place we got on the superman, I turn to my friend, Garret, and say "dude, you're such a d!ck for convincing me to go!"
Rollercoasters aren't what terrify me, it's the heights. I did the superman a couple of times after that. Was comfortable enough to flip the double bird to the camera. :D
If you do want to overcome your fear, superman is the way to do it. Because it's a very smooth ride, and since you're strapped in, you got nothin to worry about really.

I have always looked at my jumper-buddies and called them idiots for leaving a perfectly good plane. I turn 17 on the 25th of this month, and jump for the first time that weekend. I'm excited and terrified at once... :O

that last part reminds me of when I was at a show they have here for Easter. Standing in line for one of these rides that spins and rises. As the arm lifts I notice a bucket under one of the elbow joints with some oil in it. oh I thought bit of a leak not too bad.....but then one of the guys goes and picks it up and pours it all into the header and places the bucket back...I left the line.

Like krimm, I have no trouble at all in twisting and turning, diving, and climbing planes, But I'm terrified of roller coasters.

lol. I'll take some pics and tell you how it went. You might change your mind... or I might decide I was an idiot, lol.

I used to love roller coasters. Don't fear them so much as they just hurt. Head, neck, back... They're still fun, but just not worth the pain.
Sucks getting old.

Yeah... I got in a somewhat bad car crash a few years ago and ever since then, going on roller coasters tends to be very, very painful. Looking around while it's going, trying to track the "bandit" on my six doesn't help :)

Amen... This is exactly my situation. Used to love roller coasters, now they just give me a pain in my neck and a headache.

What...? You don't like HALO jumps?
Come on! There's nothing quite like jumping into -60 C air at 72,000 FT. :t

So yea...
The downsides of after sixflags was... well...
For some reason, the day afterwards, I got sicker than... sick man! Don't know what it was, couldn't eat anything all that day, and about half the next.
