well i was at the mueseum that i belong to on thursday an had my camera. though you might like these shots.
its of the nose section of a B-25.

the tin is in mint condition
and its the Air Heritage Mueseum located at the Beaver County Airport (KBVI) which is 18nm directly north of Pittsburgh Intl.

I work on the T-28 at the mueseum btw.

Couple of quick quick questions for ya if you have a sec,
The corsair that has the Willow Grove markings, Is that marked for Willow Grove NAS in PA? {just curious as i live near that NAS)
And the B25 with the cover on its nose, is that Panchito?

Yes the F4 was marked for the Willow Grove NAS in PA.
Yes, that is Panchito. It was there along with that other B25 getting maintained at the mueseum that use to be located at the airport. The mueseum closed in 2006 after a few more hurricanes came through which at that point they were already struggling from the damage a hurricane in 05 had done so they could really never recover.

Willow Grove NAS was the lifes blood of that area ( Willow Grove PA ) unfortunatly due to budget cuts, its been (somewhat) closed. THe PA ANG still flies there A-10s outta there. Im not sure what will come of it though. Its good to see that if it closed all the way that there is something out there to remember it.
I have flown on Panchito, what an amazing aircraft. It was an experiance that i will never forget.

The Hurricane was the final nail that closed the Warbird Museum. The real culprit was mismanagement. You can't repair damage when you are taking funds from the museum to fund your top fuel dragster.

What are the powerplants on the 1/2 scale F4U and Pony?
honestly, i dont know as i havent worked on them any, but i could find out the next time I go over.

I was just interested to know if they have a small radial and V-series respectively, or if they put opposed engines in them. Be interested especially in the F4U powerplant.

They look like a War Aircraft Replica (WAR) Corsair and a Loehle 5151 Mustang. If thats the case they use a Continental O-200 in the Corsair and a lawnmower sounding snowmobile engine in the 5151. Very likely a Rotax 503.

Man, that Corsair must really suffer from serious cooling drag with that scale cowling. Thanks!

the c-2 is still there, but everything else that were in those pictures have since left as they were apart of the mueseum or were they because the mueseum allowed them to be.

the only thing at that ramp area is the Warbird Adventures who operate the three T-6 Texans there which was the reason i was there in the first place. and even they had to build a brand new full size hangar because they use to operate out of those tarped ones.
