Title: Coldplay
Post by: fudgums on August 20, 2009, 10:38:24 AM
Idk why but I started to really like this band. The song "Life in Technicolor II" gave chills down my back when I was playing AH in a 20+ B17 mission with escort. Another favorite is "Yellow",it came out in 2000 but idk why I started liking them now.

The only thing that comes to mind is this scene in, "The 40 Year Old Virgin":

Only version I could find, probably due to BS copy right issues.

Beat me to it.   :rofl

Admittedly, I dig a couple of their tunes.  However it can get real old, real fast.

Did anyone see the interview on 60 minutes recently?  They seem like pretty regular guys.  Or at least as regular as a multi-millionaire rock star can be.

Why does everyone seem to hate this band? Or is it just all the stubburn "rock for life" fans? Face it guys, when you grew up your parents hated your music, and your grandparents hated your parents music. Seems like some sort of pattern.

I work with a guy who just hates Coldplay , now they may have 1 or 2 songs I can stand but mostly just not my taste . But then if I was married to Gynneth Paltrow who knows I might be famous too .

Quite the opposite actually...the music I listen to is the music my parents grew up listening to.

Well, the fact that you like a band like Blink 182 pretty much solidifies why you like Coldplay.

Chris Martin is a genuine, humble, all round nice guy............who happens to be a multi-millionaire married to a hot A-list celeb.

His music, however, is like drawing fingernails down a blackboard to me.

Reading Comprehension Failure for some. No, I'm not saying that I "love Coldplay and they are the greatest band in the world and only listen to them" I'm just saying that for me that usually listens to Slipknot Korn etc(not shinedown) it came to a surprise to me as well. Also I never stated that Blink 182 was hard rock
