Title: Dutch Brewster

This is the Brewster of Lt. August Deibel of the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army Air Force. Deibel scored 3 kills but was shot down twice while fighting the Japanese over Singapore and Java during early 1942. He survived the war but was killed flying a Gloster Meteor in 1950. The Dutch Brewsters were painted in US olive drab and medium green with aluminium undersides. The interior was painted green so I've redone the interior texture to allow for this.

Was wondering Greebo did HTC sign off on BB or BB? They love this skin there going to love that one.

Thanks guys, glad you like the skin.

I've had confirmation on 7 out of the 8 skins I submitted in April and May, a B-24, an La-5, a Spit 9 and four Il-2s. Not sure why one of the Il-2s was missed out.

I have submitted 15 more skins since then, five Brewsters, two I-16s, two Typhoons, two Spits, two P-47s, a Ju 88 and an F4F. No emails about any of these so far, I guess they are going through the backlog of skins in batches, a couple of months worth at a time. I'll submit this one Sunday unless I find something I need to redo on it.

btw I learned recently that "Greebo" was the name of a furious fictional cat, so I guess that's why we see you so often in the HellKitty?

When I first joined AH I was stumped for a character name, the first few I tried were all taken. I was reading one of Terry Pratchetts's Discworld comic fantasy novels at the time and his Greebo character came to mind. Greebo is a evil tempered one eyed house cat that the local wolves steer clear of.

I've since learnt (from Lynx IIRC) that greebo is also slang for a long haired biker. Not really appropriate to me as I own neither a bike, or much hair.

According to Google its also a name for a heavy metal fan who doesn't follow fashion trends.

My handle has been mistaken for the Star Wars character Greedo, who got blasted in the Cantina scene. Naturally I'd have owned that Solo dweeb!  :D
