Title: Shot but not shot....!

Hi all.
Quick one..........

Sitting in a Panzer just off an nme base, engine off hiding in trees waiting for a shot at something.
I hear an engine start from the Vh.  At the same time I have to go so I end sortie.
Message says: (name I can't recall)shot you down
                      You have been captured.
Not 1 shot was fired, either me or whomever it was on the base.

Happens a few times in the MA. Thought it would be a ditch tho'.

That's a proxy (proximity) kill. When you end your sortie in enemy territory, and someone is closer than 6k, you are "captured". If he's 2k out or closer, he get's the kill on you.

It's the same thing with planes - if an enemy is close wnough to you while hitting a tree for example, you will get the kill on him (as long as some olse had not damaged him before)
