one of our fellow AHers is photoshopped in there too. :)

Go to the link instead of looking at the little image I placed in there. It's easier to see, and allows you to mouse over each person for information :)

It is a pretty stupid painting.   Mike Tyson and Shirley Temple??   Give us a break!

And for American Presidents, he has Abraham Lincoln, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush.   Yet, no Washington, Jefferson, or Theodore or Franklin Roosevelt.

Lincoln is in there.  But Washington, i see no reason why he should be on it.  What did he do to influence the world?

It was a "famous people" painting....

Not "Influential".

Hence the absence of many of history's most notables.  (Probably why Einstein looks pretty bored)

I do have to wonder what Kavorkian is leaning over and saying to Sigmund Freud.

Lincoln is in there.  But Washington, i see no reason why he should be on it.  What did he do to influence the world?

Other than rejecting the idea of a king and instead choosing democracy/the presidency, cleverly utilizing spies in the revolutionary war, and generally being an icon of what it means to be an American... nothing I guess.

Other than rejecting the idea of a king and instead choosing democracy
He is not the only one that rejected the kings, there are many others too.

the presidency
Then why are 43 other presidents not on the panting?

cleverly utilizing spies in the revolutionary war
Yes, he was a master mind when it comes to spies.  Unfortunately he was, by far, a horrible military leader.

generally being an icon of what it means to be an American.
Well, he is only a big icon for being the first president.  He wasn't that great of a president but being the first usually will put you on the top.  if he was 5th or 7th president, it would be a different story on how he was as a president.  Let me remind you that technically he is NOT the first president, there where three others who where president before Washington.

So why is Theodore Roosevelt not on there, Otto von Bismark, Patton, Crazy Horse, Geronimo, Sacajawea, Hiawatha, Gene Autury, John Muir, Gifford Pinchot, Wright brothers, Ho Chi Minh, Erwin Rommel, Catharine the Great?
