Title: Unflipped page on clipboard = disconnect.
Post by: RufusLeaking on August 25, 2009, 09:48:45 AM
After a few connects to the game, I get an unflipped page on the clipboard.  I can choose to log in, and I get "Host Connection Lost" immediately in the tower.

The unflipped page display shows up initially at various angles, but remains in the same location for each abbreviated session.  That is, if the game is "Quit" and re-opened, the position of the page will change.  If one signs in and selects an arena, the unflipped page position stays the same all the way to the tower.

Hmm, that is left over from the AMD dual core CPU issue.  As of Aces High version 2.14 Patch 6, it should have no longer been an issue.

Then again, I have seen some really inconsistent behavior in the AMD dual-core CPU's.  What happens when you set the game to run in  "Windows 98/Windows ME" compatibility mode?

Do you have the AMD dual-core optimizer installed?

I have not tried "Windows 98/Windows ME" compatibility mode.  I'll have to figure how to try it.

I have not loaded a dual core optimizer on purpose.  How do I know if I have one?

This is the same machine with the 50% System SYSTEM load on Task Manager.

Anyway, per the other post on Freak FRs, I will be traveling for the next two days.  I will work this angle when I get back.

Thanks for your time, Skuzzy.
