Title: Which Finnish aircraft do you most want?
Post by: Karnak on May 08, 2001, 09:41:00 PM: ONLY pick 1 off of my suggested list or name one that you would rather have.
My list will be of aircraft that are as competitive as possible with the current plane set.

The list is in alphabetic order:

Blenheim MkI

Do17Z

F2A-1 Buffalo

Fokker D.XXI

Hurricane MkI

Theres fighter, 109G2, but not a bomber.. so I'd pick Do-17Z

They are not designed by Finns though.

Out of 92 FAF Blenheim MK. I and IVs, 42 were obtained from England and the rest were made under license by Valtion Lentokonetehdas (State Aircraft Factory) in Finland.

The final assembly of the 44 FAF Brewster Model B239s was done at the Saab factory in Trollhättan, Sweden, and from there they were flown to Finland.

Only 7 out of 97 Fokker D.XXIs in FAF were buid in the Netherlands by Fokker, the rest under license by Valtion Lentokonetehdas (State Aircraft Factory) in Finland.
