Patch 6 I suffered the sticky cursor (fixed each load by clicking Video settings), patch 7 had no sticky cursor, patch 8 I'm back to the sticky cursor (and fixing the same old way).
Annoying, but better than a CTD.

Define "sticky cursor" please.
-
Cursors can be affected by 3rd party hardware/software like joysticks ..ect
Tell us exactly whats happening and what your system specs are.

Define "sticky cursor" please.
Move the mouse & a few seconds later the cursor moves. I read the solution on a thread in here somewhere but cannot find it; even used "search" but no dice. The solution offered, and that works, was to goto "video settings" on the main page, click it, then click "cancel". Voila'! Sticky cursor goes away. If not done then the cursor will also be "sticky" in the arenas.

lag or "stuttering" is the probable cause. You move it, computer picks it up, sends the info, 2 seconds pass and the info is processed and you got movement.

I saw that post in this section sometime around patch4 or 5.
This is just a shot in the dark, if you're using a USB mouse have you tried moving it to a different USB port that isn't on the same connection pair as your joystick?

Do you have Saitek hardware? Yes?
Go into control panel/systems/device manager and disable Saitek magic mouse. Also go into Saitek control panel and make sure the LED lights setting is to maximum. Should solve your problems.

if you are talking about the sticky curser in the first screen whan AH loads (which I have), then just alt-tab out of AH and alt-tab back in again and it frees up the mouse.
I have the problem (had it 1-6, went away with 7, back with8) and that works for me. A lot quicker than creeping you way to video settings which I first did. Some one said
press H, like in game, but that didnt work for me. AH works fine for me BTW.

That is exactly what I am talking about. The alt-tab thing works for me too; the 'H' in-game does not cure it for me either
