Uh huh...so was the Edsel.

Uh huh...so was the Edsel.
But look how much an Edsel fetches these days. Most in Mint Cond. are $125,000+. Only took 50 years though. :devil The Edsel was just "a wrong car in the wrong time".

Unlike the Edsel, the Citroen DS was a commercial success and was produced for 20 years. A 1973 DS 23 Injection Electronique 'Decapotable' (Chapron Convertible) will set you back $200,000+. The DS was voted third most influential car of the 20th century by the Global Automotive Elections Foundation. Winner was the Ford Model T.

If you don't appreciate the Citroen DS series then you must not know about it. My stepfather used to have one. It was a real pleasure to drive, both on mountainous roads and long stretches of highway.

The new Citroens are garbage. In 2006, there was some high level executive at the Regent Court Building (Ford in Dearborn, MI)that drove one. You should have seen the amount of rust on the rotors, even after driving it. Not a good sign of quality.

I'm not sure "garbage" is the word I'd choose.
