Title: New TE: terrain texture problem
Post by: Ex-jazz on August 28, 2009, 04:13:49 PM
Hi

Thank you HTC for the new TE. Looks very interesting.

I have a problem with terrain textures.

The clutter is visible, but where are the textures? There's no default textures anymore? I Should create my own terrain specific textures?

About OE
- The batch .ac conversion routine would be nice.
- and/or the default .ac conversion path setting option would be also useful.
- Integrated texture file type (.bmp) and color mode check with auto conversion.

Same thing happened to me on the first try.  This will be interesting, that's for sure.

I don't think FEMA has jurisdiction in Sri Lanka.

Thanks. That fixed it, but it's illogical from work flow point of view.

ok i figuerd out that if you erase the water then hit control+left click and move the terrain what you just erased will show up,no need to save and close-then reopen everytime you erase some water, some of it shows up already painted and some of it dosent.i like this TE dont get me wrong, but making a new custom terrain is going to be more time consumming than the previous editer.maybe if the erase water brush was as big as the paint brush it would make things quicker,as of now its about one third the size.i loaded a greyscale bmp and set the elevation and that worked out good as far as i can tell for now.however when i made a map and try to convert it to 8bit it wont show up in gimp, havent tried photoshop yet but im guessing ill get the same results.
