Title: Waffle.....possible issue with grayscale elevation?

Grayscales should typically have darker shades represent lower elevations correct?

In the TE I added a white marker to establish a location and it showed up as a crater. After my import the shoreline had a 13,000 foot elevation and had host of other issues.

Tried inverting the colors and it worked perfectly, am I thinking backwards?
