That looks awesome! I can't wait to see it. We have a couple of independant theatres around here, they show anime many times, hopefully we can get it here. I didn't know there was a new Evangelion out, I've got to keep up with stuff a bit better it would seem.
Evangelion is pretty awesome too.

that anime always made me laugh. Its speed racer in space plus the most inane concept of a ww2 ship transformed into a spaceship.
their fighter vs fighter combat was good though...almost reminded me of an EVE fleet fight lol
-
Gotta love those Space Marines tho, :aok

Here....Found some more.....

I'm not any kind of fan of anime either.. This is he only anime I've ever watched and thought it was the coolest show as a kid..
School would let out at 2:45 and I'd cut through the woods to get him by 2:55 to watch it.. While most cartoons of the day were
great compared to the crap that is out today, this particular show was a lot more serious tone.. People actually died..
Not sure if you've actually watched any of the episodes.. It's super cheesy today, but back then it was bad arse!
I remember building the Argo (Yamato in Japan) out of Legos, drawing endless pictures of it firing the wave motion gun..
Those of us who watched this show were a different caliber of kid I think.. I remember it was too deep and too serious for most other kids..
And c'mon....Who thought Nova wasn't hot?? She was my first real crush....lol

Classic!
I used to do the same thing from School to see Star Blazers. It must of been 1982ish that our Cable System starting carrying an off ball chanell that showed Star Blazers at 3.
If you remember sometimes the episodes never had any continunity. One day they would be hard fighting the Comet Empire then the next day it was the Gammalons!
-
:aok <<<< also ran home to watch it :D
-
Magna Flame Gun pwns Wave Motion Gun. :D
Awesome show. I used to rush home too. The best episode was when the Argo was caught in Gamilon's acid sea and getting pummeled by rockets. :O

I watched it on WGN in the late 70s before school.
I been mulling over getting the DVDs for years, but they are so darn expensive and from what I have read the quality is not that high. I read somewhere that rumor has it they are making new versions.

That's still a lot of money, Fencer. I can remember they were $150 per season on vhs years ago. Insane.
I never saw season 3 and Not sure if it was ever shown in U.S. Would like to get the first two if they are ever priced reasonably.
I would love to get Ultraman on DVD too. That was a (unintentionally) hilarious show. :aok

Yes, I was trying to figure out that show in the 80s. Good one too.

One of my favorite shows back then. I think it was out of WSBK tv channel 38 in the afternoon.

I guessed I missed this show. Looks funny as hell. I might of been watching Gundam Wing or something.

They dont "speakie da engrish" in this one.
KTVT Channel 11 Dallas/Fort Worth Carried it back in the early '80s and I got to see the whole thing in sequence twice. Great Stuff, thanks for the post.
