We've already done the Pearl Harbor/Waikiki tripin Feb. On this August trip, we slowed down time and stayed in the North Shore arrea of Oahu.
100 random photos are here: My wife I shot over 500 pics, these are some we liked the best.
The first 4 photos was the view from our condo Lanai in Punaluu, Oahu,20 minutes from North shore, 40 minutes from Waikiki.

It's called "The Tornado" at the waterpark in Honolulu. Here's a tip, pray you're not the one of four going backward when you enter the slide into the cone.  Good thing the water is chlorinated.... :D :uhoh

Mmmmm, thanks for the nostalgia.  That glorious water and surf!  (Where is the icon for Envy?)  Enjoyed four fabulous years there in the '70s.  Truly Paradise (except for congestion and a few other usual minor details).

Toss up between here and the carribean. I went to St Maarten and St Thomas, Puerto Rico, Bermuda on my cruise and the water is identical.

Don't get me started on the traffic....Let's just say I'm happy as hell we stayed up on the North Shore, and that we planned most of our events during the week, not on the week-end.  :mad:

ME?  Heh, yeah, I could lose a few pounds...but I don't know too many 49 year old without a gut....I could probably still kick your butt though.  :D
