In the above thread.  Panzer driver says it was a genuine kill.  Film is in that same thread.

one well placed round of that magnitutde could conceivably kill anything in creation.

Watched the film, see absolutely no problem with kill what so ever.  Shot into the weakest area of panzer, point blank.....meaning at highest muzzle velocity, and ammo is AP.

There's a reason the military has kept the .50 cal around since 1921, with little to no changes.

There's also facts and evidence like muzzle velocity, armor penetration, and the like.

The TOP armor was thinner than the REAR armor.

If diving airplanes with thousands of rounds of ammo (diving gives them MORE forward momentum when fired!) can't penetrate the TOP armor...


and they CAN'T or you'd be hearing about it EVERY DAY from folks losing tanks left and right to 50cal armed planes....

Then by that same logic, WHY should they penetrate MORE armor (in the rear) with less forward momentum?

Sounds like a bug to me.

I have had M16's kill Panzer's at close range for what it's worth?
