i have only noticed this with this last patch. i fly to a vbase looking for gvs to kill and i cant see them. i see the rounds being fired at me by Flakers but i cant see their ICON nor their GV untill i get 1.5k from them then i get ICON and the GV however this is to late as the osti and WW will have you killed bythe time you drop.
i do have all my settings maxed and i get great frame rates this is the only problem i am having so far. thanks in advance for any help :salute

I think they changed the icon range to 1.5k kilz.....
if not im with you :aok
-
I can only see them 1.5k out.. thought that was kind of short lately.
-
They did. Icon range is now 1.5k.
Doesnt matter to me. I dont start shooting until Im 200 away.
Actually i think it always was 1.5 but the new terrain hides the GVs better.

i understand the icon part. but i dont remember reading that you cant see a GV it self untill you are 1.5. for me its like the ground grew tracer rounds. its like tracer rounds just pop out of the ground. nothing there but tracer rounds

I can see the GV especially if they have the wrong skin for the terrain, or if it's moving. The icon only at 1.5k though

You can try Shift-F4 to go into Ground Vis mode. Or you can try changing the ground detail slider in the graphics options. HTC changed that a patch or two ago to allow full ground mode vis from the air.
