Rooks were losing bases left and right yesterday evening. No one really seemed all that interested in defending. Well a few were. Knits were working us over in the West and Bish were having their way in the East. Then something happened. Can't quite put my finger on it. I think it may have started when Tophat killed the vh at port 61. What few Rooks defending at 60 did a great job. I don't know how the knits didn't take that base. It was crawling with them. Then Racdogg led some pretty impressive missions. One of the largest NOE's this warrior has ever seen. From there it just steam rolled. I know many of the Rooks were a bit disappointed by the lack of defense by the Bish in the latter base attacks. That however seems to be a two-way street. I believe the bish were battling for the center with the knits. (Not to make excuses but that does happen).
Anyway, great comeback Rooks.

Yeah, the rooks did a great job of coming back and steamrolling over some of those eastern bases the bish had taken. I helped defend those for a while as a bish, but the rook hordes were just too much, hitting multiple bases at once. I later on switched to knights (to be with my actual squad) and indeed we were going at it pretty strong with the bish, who kept trying to horde a couple of bases that the knights had taken from them earlier in the day. It was some pretty good action for a Titanic Tuesday I thought.

Take em all, just leave 77 for us so we can furball

The fighting was intense all day for me, very fun and challenging. I know being a Bish isn't easy, but this was the most fun I had in a long time. No trash talking, no chiding, just good clean melee from both the Rooks and Knights. :salute

Saw that in my yak and dove in. Scary sight when you are alone miles from your base. But fun running through 1 time putting as many 37mm rounds in b24s as you can. :rock

You know, it was fun! No lack of places to go for a fight. Plenty of action for gv'ers too.

Yesterday, TT, was a great day to be flying IL2s. Both the Bish and Nits had their act together and supported their armor very well. I got my kills but I got shot up pretty good, pretty often.
I said weeks ago it seems like armor support is getting better and better, reflected in poorer IL2 K/Ds. And that the stats supported this.
It sure was apparent yesterday. :salute To all who participated.

Yesterday I had a lot of fun and flew many different roles while flying...
There was a GV fight at a base on our homeland and it was a turkey shoot with a few friendlies vs a few enemies...NO flaks. I arrived on scene in a Hurri IID, got 1 kill or two and then a Ost upped, a little longer after another Ost upped, no Wirbles...I've got to admit that was a fun Gv/air support fight.
Only down side was that Draggon was on.

When Knits and Bish don't fight each other the Rooks have a hard time and get ganged. When all is equal the Rooks come out on top. :D
Country Strength Rating: (IMHO)
#1 Rooks
#2 Bishops
#3 Knights

Not surprized at all.
The reason for this is that the majority of the Knights are furballers and can care less about what bases get taken. The majority of them can care less about taking bases. But lookout in the future.....its only a matter of time.......

Perhaps an incentive program?
Take a base get a cookie?

Between all three sides the number of Furballers, Buff Drivers and Dirt Farmers are about even.
The 80th flies all sides depending on who is low number.

Same with the 82nd, more red to shoot at=more fun :D

I'd help take a base if it meant cookies, can we start up some sort of base for cookie program or something? :x

I've been country jumping, flying Rooks mostly but Bishops are my favorite country. They seem to work together just a bit better, communicate better, and run more missions. Although I haven't seen too many missions out of them lately. Then again, like I said I've been flying rooks mostly.
BTW. Rooks won a big map yesterday. Other than running missions on Titantic Tuesday I didn't see many missions. Seems most of the bases were taken late night. After that I went to LW Blue and had a pretty good time. Flew Rooks for a while and then switched to Bishops until I logged. Knits were hitting 21 pretty hard so I just had to get into that action and was not disappointed.
