Very nice looking skins there, Fencer! I might have to D/L the 2nd one :aok

Very nice, Fencer. Partial to the looks of the OD one myself.
-
Coincidently enough, I just watched one documentary of the B17 on Google video. Get over here to the boards, look at your fine work, and... (http://mail.yimg.com/a/i/mesg/tsmileys2/32.gif)
Nice work.

Our Gal sal has always been my B17 skin she looks even better now.

I guess I am the only one who digs BM over OD

I like em both! Lovin the bright yellow, looks great on the bare metal! and the overall scheme of the OD, brilliant work! :D
-
I WAS considering painting my room in OD and that grayish color...

Having flown with the 100th BG late last year, I can say that the fellow 100th members will absolutely LOVE the new update with the "Our Gal Sal" skin. Fencer, if you ever have time, the second 100th BG skin (bare metal) could use a little tweaking with the panels and rivets and other detail.
All in all, great work! :salute

OOooooo....
Ye gonna do that one??? :x

Thinking about it, wanted to see what I could do with it.
I have a color photo and profile of this a/c without the red-trimmed cowls and chin turret. Fencer was kind enough to dig out his references for the skin that shows the red cowls.
<S>!

Btw Oboe that plane's nose art is the January 1945 Vargas calander girl. Might be able to do more with it since the 17 skin upped in size.
-
Yes the extra pixels help quite bit...
She's a real dish...

Redhead... I approve. :aok
-
For some reason I'm not seeing the images in the OP.
-
Neither am I - I think the original post is years old, so the link invalid?
-
Didn't even think to check the OP date, my bad.
-
The original pics were hosted on my website which I used for AH skjns and scenario files. Deleted it when I quit the game.

The "Dinah-Mite" #48694 of the 487th Bomb Group is quite dear to me. My father Willard Skoglund was assigned to her as a mechanic on the ground crew. He painted the Vargas girl on the planes nose and used the January 1945 calendar page as the model. I have that page in his scrap book. In a story of the radio operator Sabatine Branco by his son on page 2 photo 2 my father is on the left of the 4 men under the nose of the plane. http://www.487thbg.org/Stories/SJB.shtml
Thank you, sir!

Another good photo of the nose of the "Dinah-Mite" is on the 487th Bomb Group web page.
