remember our brothers and sisters that are fighting for what happened on the sad day of 9.11.01. never forget those lost on that day...and never take for granted what you have because you never know when you will lose it.

<S>

I live here.  I have to be honest with everybody, and I think all New Yorkers will agree..........

I'm done with this silly crap all over the television.  I woke up today, observed my moment of silence.  Thought about the 3 people I know who lost a family member.  Dont need to hear over 3000 names on the tv all friggin day.  Don't need to watch 20,000 tourists clog up the streets downtown where I work........  YES, I work 3 blocks from World Trade.

The only part about the day that holds some good is seeing the Finest and the Bravest together.  Crying & laughing, happy & sad.  The human part of it.

And now it's just a Friday.

My thoughts are with everyone touched by what occurred.  But we New Yorker's don't sit around too long to think about the past.

Oh Yes!!!!!  They too!  <S>

:salute to the victims and their families in Pennsylvania and the Pentegon as well.

And although not really the forum for such talk but to make the AH community aware.........

9-11 should never be a national holiday.  Why?

If government office and everybody else takes a day off.......  No commerce..... No productivity..... The terrorists win that.  Think about it.

I would have no problem water boarding someone to prevent all that has happen from happening again, the bleeding hearts should go over there and see what kind of animals we are really dealing with and then lets hear what they have to say.
I Salute all who have been touched by these horrendous acts against us.

It was my daughter Christina's 12th birthday.  I remember her asking  "Dad can I ever be happy on my birthday again?"    She'd have been 20 today.

its my best guy friends birthday also, it makes it hard to celebrate it. so since 9.11.01 we celebrate his birthday on the 12th instead. im sure that we all will agree that no one will ever forget where they was this day 8 year ago. i took the day off work for some family function at the school and my boss called me and said to turn the tv on. so i did. it was the most horrible sight i had ever seen watchin the smoke roll from the first tower. then witnessing the plane goin into the second tower i ran, got my keys and went and got my kids from school. i wasn't sure what was happening all i know is that i needed my babies with me. shortly after i contacted like 20 of my friends and found out where the closest blood drive was. even though was in michigan, it kinda made us feel like we were doing something to help those that were injured in NYC. i still till this day donate blood. it was horrible that it took an event like this to happen but it did. i had volunteered to go down there with some fire fighter friends but was left behind because i had no one to watch my rugrats when the time came for them to leave. i was on the fire dept for 2 years and would have been honored to go down there and help out any way i could.

Last night the History Channel ran a hour + montage of 9/11 footage shot from various pro/amateur vid cameras. IMHO it should be a required annual viewing for every US Citizen.
