Title: Corsair stick lookin for wingmen
Post by: Ranger45 on September 12, 2009, 09:52:11 AM
I fly the Corsair almost 100% of the time.  Mostly I fly the 1A model.  I don't spend much time doing bombing runs but I know how and am willing to help out that way.  I usually am looking to shoot other planes down.  I am looking for a squad to fly with in the MA, I am not able to fly FSO because of time conflict, it happens to early in the day for me to get on.  I try to play a little every night when I am home.  I don't care what country the squad is with because at this point I am not committed and can change.  It would be cool to fly with a squad dedicated to the Corsair but it is not a deal breaker either.  I would prefer a squad on the small side as to many people makes the vox channel to cluttered.  I live in Alaska so I am four hours behind the east coast, I am usually on from 9:00pm to 12:00am my time.  I am a decent stick and have a very good attitude, I do not complain and I am not rude to anyone, anyway it would be nice to have a few people to wing with.

My in game call sign is Scout.

Helllo Ranger,

May i suggest that you Contact the VF-17 or VMF-251. They're two of the finest and dedicated F4U units around. Tex is the CO of VF-17 i believe and Saxman is the C.O of the 251. Hope you find a good fit for your F4u addiction.

Actually Ranger was with us for a while, but I guess the time difference was ultimately too much to make it work as we operate a bit earlier in the day (9pm EST, and FSO). Haven't seen you around, but hope you find a group that better fits your availability.

I've been dabbling in the 1a  if you need a wing sometime ingame. And I play late night weekends so you'll see me around.

I'd recommend vmf251 and Vf17 like Talon, but for your time play ,don't know if theres a dedicated squad on that late. I know  theres a few guys

from Alaska in the 173rd.  :salute  and good luck

Hello Scout,

Check out the Good the Bad and the Ugly. We fly mainly Knights but do switch countries from time to time to wing with friends. We have 9 members and are an organized bunch of very relaxed guys. Still really enjoy a good ol furballs though :lol

I'm on the west coast and am usually on around 19:00 hrs. AK time nightly. tune to vox 199.
