this morning started off just as any other except for alyssa (my daughter) had woke up quite a bit earlier than normal. anyways, she took tank and stuka outside to go potty. she was out there for about 5 minutes and all the sudden i hear stuka goin CRAZYYY...a very vicious sound was coming out of my dog. soon after my daughter came running in the house sayin the neighbor across the road was outside our house and stuka had chased him away by barking and growling. mind you i have never heard my stuka sound so vicious or mean as i have this morning.
anyways, the dude takes off running over to his house, i called the cops. the cops show up, 3 cop cars in front of my house, i told them what happened and they took a statement from my daughter. after checking the yard they went over to the neighbors across the road. apparently this guy is on parole for arson. anyways. after they talk to him they come back over to my house. the sgt i talked to said that they did infact see where someone had ran over there because they could see the shoe prints from the grass bring packed down. he also told me he had not believed a word that guy had said because he seemed nervous and tried to avoid eye contact. he told me that he was going to submit every thing to the prosecutor this morning and see if there was enough of a reason to issue a warrent. anyways..i guess i just wait to see what happens.
my daughter, a little freaked out, still went to school as normal. myself, i feel like i need to do more to make sure that if something arises like this again that i am able to protect my kids. stuka did his job, he was great! im very proud of my puppy. tank on the other hand, tucked his tail between his legs and ran into the house in front of alyssa.
just wanted to share my exciting morning with yall! i hope this jerk gets whats comin to him....if the cop doesn't trust him i sure as hell dont.

Is the implication that the man might have abducted your daughter? Dogs are amazing when it comes to their ability to sense ill-intent.

im not sure what his intentions where, however my concern was that this guy is on parole for arson and at any time could of burned my house down while me and the kids were sleeping, that is the scary part. i didnt know that till the cop told me but after thinking about it, my stuka has woke me up the last 3-4 nights barking in the middle of the night at different hours. so my thought is that this is not the first time he had been over around my house in the middle of the night. maybe hes just a window peeker but, y would u look into a window of a house that has nothing but a tv on at 5-5:30am?

to bad stuka didnt drop a bomb on him so that tank could finish him off!!!! :t
-
Kinda creepy story Betty, good thing Stuka did his job. Had to laugh at Tank though, that's funny. Now comes the hard decision of if you want to upset the neighbor by pressing trespassing charges and risk retaliation from him, or do you just leave it alone with him knowing that Stuka is there to tear him up if he gets close again.

:rofl

I think Tank will come around once he's been with you guys long enough to feel like you're his pack. He's probably just pretty unsure of himself right now. Also, WTFG Stuka! Good thing you have them to take care of you when you're otherwise occupied, and I'm sorry that you have to live next to a creep like that.

just out of curiousity..........
what would be going through your mind, if everything was exactly the same, but the cop never told ya the dude was on parole?

I knew it wouldn't make it past a page before guns showed up. :lol
We used to have three purebred black Labradors, all female. By the time I was born, one was very old while the other two sisters were just out of the puppy stage. They protected me many a time, be it from the mailman (:D) or when Matilda took a scorpion to the face that was crawling up my camping-crib.
Glad to hear all's well with your family.

LOL....... I was most tickled by tank running and hiding...... reminded me of my own dogs
I have 2 shih tards.....1 is a about 9 now and the other is nearly 2........ the older one is very calm and relaxed all the time....... likes to lay around......and never makes a noise...... Ive heard him bark maybe twice ever......but hes the one who will stand his ground and growl at the door.........
the younger one is a barkbox....... he barks at everything.... slightest noise hes in attack mode ready to go...especially if he hears the doorbell or a knock...... which brings me to the funny part....
a few weeks back the wifes grandfather came to the house...... I was up on the 3rd floor playing AH.......... I heard the doorbell but ignored it at first........ and the younger pup immediatley went into his "Im gonna bark and growl and let you know Im a killer mode"........ the barking went on for several minutes which I also ignored because he does it all the time....... after me not coming to the door grandpa let himself in and walked into the living room......... thats when the "killers" true colors came out......... that beast of bark was now running around the house trying to hide ...... meanwhile urinating and deficating every other step (I guess if he was about to die he wanted to get that out of the way).....
when I came downstairs he was behind the sofa in the den whimpering and grandpa was just laughing his arse off
long winded story I know but your Tank tale reminded me and I thought it was funny

.45 or 12 gauge
well, my point was.........
some dogs....like my german shepard.........well.....if an ant gets too close to the yard, she'll go nutso. it doesn't matter the time of day, or the weather. it's her territory, and nothing or noone is going to invade it.
so had the cop not said that, then there'd be no extra worry.
on the other hand, i'd definitly be keeping a closer eye out now...........

.45 or 12 gauge
20 gauge...20 inch barrel...00 buckshot
or 22mag auto-pistol with home made whisper box attached
if the turd is inside the house use the shotgun...if he's outside use the pistol...then drag him into the threshold of a window or door...and dump the whisper box as you call 911.

You must be joking gyrene!
Glad you kido is ok Betty.

errrr....yeah...sure...I was joking...hehehehe
Got that advice from several "expert sources"... :t :devil :t :devil :t :devil :t :devil

Not required in Texas if it is night time. :aok
Betty check online how many child molesters there are in your area. Bet you'd be surprised.
-
Well i wont Hijack but just this once.
When giving advice about deadly force I would suggest advising the police that you were in fear of losing your life or the life of a loved one over staging a crime scene. Any first year homicide detective will spot a hastily staged crime scene about five minutes after getting out of the car. Things will probably go down hill from there.
Betty if you have to use deadly force to protect your life or the life of your daughter then do just that and be honest with the police. No matter what state laws govern the use of deadly force in your area, honesty about the fear of losing your life will go a lot farther to prove the righteousness of the incident.
Listen to me I sound all serious. :rofl
I'm Out :salute

its not even a big deal to me about the parole thing except, wtf was he doing on MY property at that time of the morning and standing out side my window? normally we would b asleep because we normally dont get up till 6am. if im awake im normally playing AH waiting the wake the kids up. all the lights were off in the house. only thing that was on was the TV and thats it.
him being on parole ...and i looked his name up on the MDOC website, ..only makes me worry more. this man is capable of many stupid things. assault with a deadly weapon (felonious assault),arson, domestic violence, arson again but this time preparing to burn, and god only knows what else there is that i couldnt see on there. he just got out of prision like 8 months ago...what his intent was...who knows. maybe he was just bein a perv, but still, this is my yard, my house and he had no business being around here.
-
Write him a note telling him that next time you'll just let the dog loose on him.
Probably a bad idea on the second thought really. You could fence your front yard in and get a doggie door for the house, so the dogs could go out if they felt like there was a threat that you all needed protection from.

the last time i check shuf there was 52 registered sex offenders in my area. with in like 10 mins in each direction from my house.

this much i already know, im a CSI fanatic, and im not talking like csi new york or miami, i mean i watch the ID channel with forensics and new case detectives....shows like that. anyways. no matter what would happen IF someone came into my home trying to hurt my kids, i would kill them. plain and simple....i would die for my kids and do whatever it takes to protect them. i don't think this guy (if he doesn't go to jail cuz of this) will ever come around my house. atleast that is what the sgt i talked to said. i do know that when stuka barks now i will be jumping up to look out the windows.

My wife's dog is a very big German Shepard :)
If your not family keep away :)

in that instance.........i'd take a walk across the street, and introduce myself....and let it be known that you don't want anyone on your property....and that his being there will be dealt with. of course, have a witness or two there.
that should put it in his head, that"yes, you are watching" and that if he wants to screw with something or someone, that he would be advised to go do it somewhere else.............
-
I like dogs...They will protect till the end...Just keep them close and you need not worry....even the most timid dog will destroy if their family is in any kind of danger. I have a staffie who has grown up with my daughter from 6 mths old...nothing can consider placing her under threat with jock placing himself between. That goes for the rest of the family also but that particular bond is unreal.

Keep an eye on the house's 6 Betty.
And leave the backyard light on please.
-
Ok, Ok, OK! Now Betty, let me ask you this. Where was Stuka when YOU were sneaking around Jaxxo's tent in the wee morning hours in Dayton? :O :rofl :rofl :O
What kind of protection did that poor fellow have from you? :D
-
Betty has her first stalker how special! :D
-
He had no place being there & if nothing else you know to keep an eye out for him from this point on.

LOL, ok, go dragging a body around a crime scene a bit and let me know how that works out for you :lol
Unless you have Barney Fife doing the investigation, the detective is going to be asking why, if it was a good shoot you felt you had to move the body?, I take it back...even Barney would be asking you that.

WTG betty, he deserves a bratwurst :rofl

Hey Betty, um, move to La. Our laws state if a person is on ur property AND being a threat to life or property,
you can give em both barrels w/o having to go thru all da work of draggin said dirtbag back to da house. Just a thought. :D n :salute

Stuka may want to sleep on the front porch until this guy is locked up.

if you use a 12 gauge, dont shoot at point blank, i had to put a horse down and done that, yeah, its messy

Betty, that must have been a very upsetting ordeal for you and your daughter. I applaud your dog for doing his duty to protect your family.
Don't feel as though you are a prisoner in your own home by doing some things to protect yourself, but rather you have to adjust to a possible threat that has been displayed by the actions of some idiot. That sicko had no business on your property period, take action by whatever means you can through your police to get the message to him that you mean business.
In the meantime- Some advice to you is to stay attentive to your surroundings and protect yourself by simply being proactive with some simple things like:
1. Get some Motion detecting lights/fixtures installed on the exterior of your home, not floodlights too gaudy, especially in those dark areas surrounding your home, they can easily be installed under roof peaks, soffits, etc. any light will deter a window peeper.
2. Lock your windows and doors at night, turn your TV off at night to make it harder to see who is inside when you go to bed. Use curtains/shades to prevent an open invitation.
3. Trim your bushes, minimize growth around your house to no more than waist high if possible and thin them out, don't provide cover for a criminal to hide.
4. If possible, store/hide a weapon of sorts in different locations of your home, out of reach from children. Could be a sort of tool, like a hammer, screwdriver, bat.
5. Have a phone nearby, cellphone should be near you at night.
Be proactive, don't wait around for this guy to get the nerve to up the ante', he has a criminal past and it would be enough to put me on guard even more so after what you have experienced with him.
Good luck.

get a samurai sword and cut him up like we do in Murdaland Bodymore.
