Title: B-17 at teterboro airport, NJ
Post by: CountD90 on September 18, 2009, 06:00:58 PM
So I was driving to a local college to pick up a friend and as I drove by Teterboro Airport, which is a few blocks from my house, I saw what looked like a WWII four engined bomber with the tail of a B17. The short glimpse of it had me amazed and I almost rear ended the car in front of me looking over my shoulder.

When I got home I did a little searching and found that it was indeed a B17 by the name of "Yankee Lady". Despite only seeing her in flight for about 10 seconds, it still had me in amazement since I have never had the chance to see any WWII bird in flight.

Here's a pic I got off the internet.

I would think so.  Back in 91-93, I used to take 46 to and fro a young lady's house.  They had a P47 out all summer long, both summers.  Another, non US craft, on the opposite end of the field.  Not sure what it was.
