Title: how u guys use the tempest ?

if i dont run outa perkys caused by discoes (dont belive it but 2 of my 7 discoes happend in a tempest grrrrrrrrr)

I don't, its too expensive.  Its not worth a whole tour's worth of perk points for me to fly a Tempest.

Grab a Fw190D-9 or La-7, they're almost as good and they're free.

I fly it like a coward, like my life depended on it.  I don't like to lose the perk points, and have only done so once (flew into the back of a spinning Dorka).  I carry drop tanks and maximum fuel.  I open the throttle to full and rarely touch it.  I don't engage anything over 20k in general.  I don't engage in sustained turning battles with anything.  Hit and run.  I try to keep my speed over 300 and g level under 3 unless I have an absolutely certain killing shot.  If I get a bandit on my 6, I drag him to friendlies or ack, then turn and finish his sorry behind.

Trust me, jabo missions in it are not advised.

i use it for last ditch field defense to fly into a heavily capped field and kill the m3 as it drops troops.

I've lost a few tempests doing this so I don't recomend it  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
