It really sucks, i got it Thursday at school. had a fever of 104 Fahrenheit last night, when i woke up my bed was soaking wet it sweat, and I have extreme temperature change, one moment I'm freezing then burning up. Only thing that seems to help is Advil. I went to the doctor today and she said the same thing, and since i am 18 that I am not really at risk?? I understand that small children and senior are in danger. but couldn't she have given me something to make this go by easier? :(
I heard i am the 8th or 9th person at my school to have it, school may close for a few weeks.. i hope

Don't hope so. They will make you come to school during summer because of the missed days.

2 local people have died from Swine flu this week. My wife is an ICU nurse at Baylor Hospital Dallas and they have 9 people with it in her unit alone.

everyone is going to get. When they do you can laugh and say i already had it.
-
I had it...over mid-term mother effing break.
:cry
-
I had it with the "original" outbreak... My mom and I were the first reported cases in Oregon, and it sucks.
Lay low, take some tylenol (or advil if that seems to be working), and milkshakes = heavenly.
Get better mate.

If you havn't got it, sanitation is the key, wash your hands with soap regularly!
If you do have it, STAY HOME! (for a week)

The dorm I live in, almost the whole 3rd floor had the swine flu and there were numerous cases across campus. Several teachers canceled class due to it and we really have had an outbreak in it.
The rule here is that you are not to leave your room if you have it and meals will be delivered to you. Its about a week time to get rid of it and about the only thing you can do is wait it out.
Im lucky enough that I havent had it yet. I just think the paranoia is a little over hyped but that is just me its just another flu nothing should be completely paranoid over imo.
-
w00t for never leaving the house! :D

I mean, nothing to worry about....
Except for the few unlucky folks, around 20-30 and healthy, that it migrates to the lungs and shuts them down in under a week.
It's funny. A terrorist attack that kills 2,500 is worth $2 trillion and 2 wars.....
But, a flu that is already predicted to kill 30,000 to 90,000 in the U.S. alone is no big deal.

Wait until we get a vaccine for terrorism, then compare the two.

That's it.
I smoke, drink and don't look after myself well and I never get sick.
Keep clean and get as much sleep as you can... you'll be invincible.

Takes about a week to clear up...can save a day or 2 with the medication that they can give you but thats about it.
