This week I've been doing a little bit of long term retirement planning and forecasting, 44 now. Looks like we might be able to do it at 60. We have done a some travel trailering but just renting.
For some reason I've got this idea/option in my head of full time RVing after retirement. Seems like it might be fun.
Any comments from experience or family that are full-timers?
There is a good rv net forum with lots of info.

I know a retired couple that have a few time share condos around the country and travel the US in a RV between them.. they seem happy.

I've been doing just that for more than 5 years now. What ya want to know about it?
Here is a great web site related to the RV lifestyle. http://www.rvnetwork.com/index.php? The club is called the Escapees and the forums have any and all experiance levels you could possibly want to ask about.

Thanks Mav! That's a great site.
At least we have 16 years to decide on a motor home or fiver. ;)

Lemme know if you have any questions. BTW the week of Oct. 4th through the 9th there will be a rally in Hutchinson KS Fairgrounds for folks who use big trucks like mine to haul their RV around. Lots of rigs to see and the folks are happy to show off or answer questions. Visitors are very welcome as it's a chance for newbies to see what is all about that kind of vehicle combination. Almost all of the folks there will be full timers.
The HDT section of the forum is dedicated to the big rigs and there are lots of pics there.

Thanks a bunch. That would be a neat meeting to visit for sure. I'll be in Southern CA that week on business though. Right now it's sort of a concept or dream.
