Title: Band of Brothers BLU-Ray......
Post by: Dadsguns on September 26, 2009, 09:11:55 AM
I recently purchased the Blu-Ray version, tons of information and extras in there that DVD cant provide, its like seeing it all NEW again.

One thing I noticed in the credits that I did not notice before - "Aces High".

Did they refer to our beloved Aces High?
If so, Does anyone know what part if any did Aces High provide for the movie?

AND!

Quote
"Aces High" is a song written by Steve Harris. It is Iron Maiden's eleventh single and the second from the 1984 album Powerslave. The song tells the story of a British RAF pilot fighting against the German Luftwaffe during the Battle of Britain (1940), the first battle to be completely fought in the skies of the UK. The song topped at number 20 on the UK Singles Chart. Aces High is one of Iron Maiden's most popular songs, and has been covered numerous times, by bands including Arch Enemy and Children Of Bodom. It was released as a single over a month after Powerslave came out.

The "Aces High" march used in the Battle of Britain movie wasn't a real Luftwaffe march, but written for the movie by Ron Goodwin. One of the all-time great war-movie composers.

Somehow I think if they were to credit our beloved creators of the game. the credits would have been listed as 'Hitech Creations"
the name of the company and not one of its games.  ;)

Thanks for the info, I will check it again soon.
The credits were rolling at a quick step, but what I thought I saw was in reference to graphics for the P51 and then ACES HIGH.

Aces High probably provided some of the aircraft.

That's correct.  They listed Band of Brothers as one of the films they provided aircraft for.

Do they have any affiliation with this game?
