<S> To TnDep, this was the 2nd of 2 1v1s, both were an absolute blast, both of us winning one. ;)
Great fight, sir, here's the film I said I'd put up, along with some teasers. ;)
I do apologize as I started the film after the first pass (a cockpit scraper ;)). But, enjoy.

No offense, but your squad makes up 80% of the people who fly in furball lake. It makes it easier to call people off :aok

Those are the best fights to be had in the game....
One on one with a historical matchup without all of the other crap that normally finds its way into the DA.
Me and nrshida (51B and Ki-84) always seem to have great fights in the mornings (on the east coast anyway).
Fun can still be had in the DA if you fight the right people under the right circumstances.

I tend to find my way into the MAs more than the DA. The Aerofighters do not define my ACM. I find it funny, this seems like highschool... steryotypical bull, what else is new though? The majority of the Aerofighters are in it for the fun, but the few that DO give it a bad name are the ones people see. What most people don't know is that the core of the Aerofighters, (TA, Spacy, Drag, a few other and myself) have been flying AHII together for a number of years now, and that "core" is one helluva group of fighters, we found our planes early on and stuck with them, learned them inside and out, and still have more to learn. Spacy's got his signiture zeke, TA his corsair, and I my Jug. If you'd like to give the standard gangtard gungho outlook on the aerofighters, I'll send you some films, the majority of us are out to have fun, and at the time of this film, there were 3 rooks flying, I was the only aerofighter, 5 bish, and 5 nits. I posted here not for my squad to be the outlook of it, but to give TnDep the film as I said I would, and to show off a good time had.
It may make it easier to call people off, but it's not normally the friendies you gotta dodge... ;)Those are the best fights to be had in the game....

Interesting.... why be a part of a group that allows bad play. Seems the questionable players would be removed from the roster if the group was a good one. Same goes for staying a in a group that allows bad play, one can always leave. I learned a long long time ago that if you hang out with skunks your going to smell.

Who woulda thunk it...a C-hog in the DA

There are plenty of 1 v 1's in the da :D Early morning or late night. Those are some cool pics, and looked like a fun fight. If i was that close to another fighter, it would say i collided lol.

I went into the DA the other day to work a bit on my aim, and hard maneuvers, knowing I was going to be turning and a burning. I left after only a few flights due to the cherry picking temps. I'd start in with a couple of bad guys and get a good fight going and then not be able to get out of the way of the picktard. I'd be surprised if I fired off more than 50 rounds the whole time I was in there. Just a waste of time. Its not worth the server space it uses.

So is the LW arena in my book....

Spacy fly's a Spit 16....not a Zeke

Quite a few of these replies are just smartarse remarks avoiding the fact that there are indeed 1 on 1 fights in the DA at the right time, in the right place.
Thats what it seems to me, pick his squad, or pick his plane, or how he flies it, always a problem to be found when you're always searching for it.
How much time do half of you even spend in the DA? One sortie where you get smacked down ina furball then leaving mouthing excuses?
Not trying to start anything just voicing an opinion. :aok
-
I used to fly in the DA a lot, but now I don't fly much at all. It's not that there can't be fun and 1v1s in the DA. Matter of fact it's where I go if I wanna try something new. What really gets old is not only are there spit 16s, ponies, nikis, and a handful of other fighters, there are gobs of C-hogs, Temps, and F4U-4s. It just gets old.

The planes exist to be enjoyed by the customers.

I go to the DA to warm up before logging into the MA. It's good for that if nothing else. I've had some fun in there but it's not a place where I want to hang out. Just seems too much like a live fire training arena to me.

Hey Uptown....
Great fight last night near 127 / 126 area...I really enjoyed it.

:lol Yep it was fun. Glad to see ya back RedTop :salute

Last week or so i've been endearing myself to the DA regulars. There is usually two ways things end up going after awhile. You find some new friends who enjoy the fights and give a hearty :salute nrshida, tndep, sads etc. Then there are the love muffines who will mouth off, fly into the fight twice as fast as they did before and get killed again :furious  and log off.
Have to say I agree with Batfink's sentiments. The DA is what you make of it. Don't pretend your going to get perfect Dueling conditions in the FURBALL lake, expect to get ganged and don't think it is going to be any different than the MA. Grow some.

I lately found that some of the best fights are when you get alot of people on a channel(250 :D ) and have just a free for all, NO Hos, 1v1s, stay away from planes that are at the extremes of the fighter spectrum(a6ms-Tempests are frowned upon). Really fun even if you have to here Dodger complain when Krupnski ups a 110 :devil :salute

The DA is mostly full of noobs flying perk planes they can afford in the MA in F-3 Mode spraying the sky with cannon like a garden hose. Some guys shoot people on the runway. I don't know what they learn from any of this but it is their $14.95. There are some good guys in the DA but the the others is more than enough to keep me out of the DA except to work on planes I don't fly much. Early morning hours are the best time to go there.
-
Isn't the reason for having a perk system to maintain balance in the arenas? Isn't there need for balance so that the overall experience for the majority of the players is better? If this is the logic in the MA then why not the DA? It just doesn't make sense.
Of course, I realize that if you take the perk rides out you will still have the same problems just in other planes. That is not my point. My point is that the logic is not consistent between arenas and that has an enabling effect on the tardlets.

Fun fights Bruv I remember you landing 14 victories <S> Glad to see you in there and ya I hate the high temps and 51's base hugging but there just looking for someone to climb and stall so I don't mess with them. I think it's funny to let them dive and get 1k out before I break, they thought it was going to be a easy kill. But for the most part the DA is a cool place and some fun fights. I love a good 1on1 and take a side field any chance I get for me thats what it's all about. Improving on a daily basis and learning new ACM's to use in 1on1's. Thanks Bruv I look forward to future fights.
