Title: FSO Week in the AVA

Guys, I've been talking to AVA staffers Oldman and Soda72 about the possibility of running a setup that mirrors the FSO event for one week each month.
Ideally it would be run the week prior or first week of an FSO schedule. My thinking is to give FSO squads and pilots a place to get practice for an upcoming event that will feature the same aircraft and map if possible as the event they will fly in. Also if there's a quality experience for guys flying there, it's quite possible people would return and populate the AVA a little more. If possible maybe FSO folks could pick one night in particular during the week the setup is in the AVA for a practice or just an FSO fun night. The same planes but multiple lives and a chance to learn from your mistakes. I do feel with a fresh attitude and influx of people with a purpose to enjoy the arena and take advantage of the opportunity to see how the setup will fly might give things a fresh kick start there. More than anything I'd like to keep things positive and have this enhance both the FSO and AVA experience. For it to work we're going to need the support of the FSO community on both sides of a setup Axis and Allied. Any pilots or squadrons interested in participating in this venture please post your reply here. If anybody has any questions or comments I welcome those as well.

That's a great idea that's been thrown out before.  If you can get them to do it, I'll show up for it.

Yes I realize the idea has been floated before. I would like to drum up support for it and think it could be a positive thing for both the FSO community and AVA arena.

I like this idea. VMF-251 often does aggressor practice in the DA the Wednesday of FSO weeks, but it would be nice to be able to fly TOGETHER in our assigned rides against our projected adversaries.

We're shooting for the off week of FSO. I belive it will start the 29th of October and hopefully run for a week.

This depends on the AVA staff though. We'll have to take what their willing to give us. If we bring the people in and keep returning maybe it will turn into a regular thing.
