Title: Worse than Betty's bomber mission....
Post by: Krusty on October 10, 2009, 11:01:14 AM: You ever get a sinking feeling something's about to happen, then it happens WAY worse than you ever expected, and you and your pals sit there laughing your buttocks off the entire time?

One FSO we were in the tower waiting for the deck to clear and wave after wave... after wave........ after wave of planes plowed off the bow of the ship into the water....

I saved the film file and ran across it the other day. Felt it was time to make good on my promise to upload it.

There were a couple of times where there was a line of planes single file sitting on the water with no wings, just little tubes in a row, hilarious. Also, at the very end you see a guy blow up way out behind the carrier. That was probably his 20th try and he just sat on the water for a while crying before he tried again.
