K/D to date for the 47M: 1.51. High, still lower than 38Js or Ta-152.
Oddly enough, the K/D for the P-47D-11 is 1.41.
Number one victim of P-47Ms, by a wide margin, is other P-47Ms, with 862 kills to date, or, over 11%. Coming in at a distant second are P-51Ds at 462. Though if you consider the kill numbers by P-47M for the big three Buffs, 17s, 24s, and Lancs in aggregate, it comes to nearly one thousand.

flew the D11 for a few days and had (around a 5-6 K/D ratio would be my guess) still my favorite Jug

The P-47M is absolutely deadly for me in the DA...
Getting into turn fights with good sticks in Spits and Hurricanes. 9 times out of 10 I come out alive even getting down to a full flap turn.
I freaking love it!

You mean you can hang it all out to get the best gun solution they'll allow, and have enough acceleration to get the H out of Dodge if it fails?

Well, you have to consider this: The 47M has it's high K/D ratio despite being flown by the masses. currnetly, it's the 3rd most "used" plane after the Spit16/P51D...and those are just about 1.0!
As for the D-11 - not suprising at all. It's being flown pureley in A2A form, no bomb truck deaths to spoil the score. I'd say, take the ords away from the other Jugs, and thier K/D ratios would double...and probably usage drop by half... ;)
But back to the M... I have the feeling that it is here to stay... bigtime!

Actually, it's the most used by far. P51 and Spit numbers are including more than a week in this tour where the 47M wasn't introduced yet.
Currently, about 8.5% of kills are made by 47M's, followed by Spit 16 with just over 6%.

Alas, I personally ruined the M stats last night...every time I left the ground, I died in one way or another.. (I THINK I landed in a smoking bleeding hulk...ONCE) Ok....and I tried to fly through a hangar...plane sucks, goin to Lgay!

I think a lot of the "inflated" K/D number is because it doesn't carry ord. Give a bird ord and you'll have thousands of noobs plowing into the ground or blowing up in bomb blast repeatedly trying to "win" the war.

An interesting and most salient point. However, it is a wee bit jaded, lol.

Explored tonight for the first time. 4 sorties, 7 kills, 7 kills, 10 kills, 11 kills.
I think the 47M agrees with me. Now just to diddly up some Spit16s with my Peter North shooting skills.

To huge number of people the 47M is going to appear useless.
