nice looking ship
ya just don't want to make a mistake when firing the #3 turret though....ouch
i've never seen a battle ship or cruiser with the superstructure so far back.
-
AFAIR types like that were made for chasers so thats why all turrets are in front of superstructure.
edit: cut'n'paste from here: (http://www.warships1.com/BRbb14_Nelson_hist1.htm) "...Firing of X turret created damaged to the bridge and limits on the firing arcs on this turret were imposed in peace time".

Staga
I found that was a useful feature in the SSI game "Fighting Steel", but I thought that the fwd. arrangement was another one of those London Treaty designs to help economize on weight. Like the 4-gun turrents on the French battleships, etc.

Angus,
I originally had posted:
"HMS Nelson (or HMS Rodney)"
Then I noticed the single anchor, and examined the pictures in my book and it seems that Rodney had two anchors on each side, Nelson had one.

My source indicates, HMS Rodney,it is :)
