Dell makes a computer (the 700) that has a front case audio wire that is 1x10. Is there an adaptor to convert the 1x10 to the Intel standard 2x5 plug?

Depends on how brave you are with a soldering iron. :devil

Yes and I could do it but this is for someone else. The Dell 700 has a 1x10 front case audio plug to a Creative X-Fi Extreme Music card and the user in question wants to change the sound card to a HT Omega Striker 7.1 which has the standard Intel 2x5 front case audio on the card.

Yes but in the opposite sense. That one is 2x5 (male) to 1x10 (female) and we need 1x10 (male) to 2x5 (female).
