Substantial update on the P51D engine. I added a great low rpm wav of the Merlin engine sampled at 800 rpm, and mixed it in with the original 3000 rpm wav. The result is a much improved Merlin sound at idle. It is worth the download. The original wav is still there. 'Stang flyers will appreciate the better low end 'growl'.
Hey what a great plane! Just started flying this bad boy about a week ago and my kill ratio has gone up rapidly as well as my hit ratio. Was it really this easy to kill in WW2?

Fscott, dunno why, but the sounds thing kicks me off to the desktop.
Almost the only engine sound I have downloaded from your page that works fine is the Fw190A5 engine sound. But both the engine on and engine off, kicks me out of AH to desktop. Same with almost all the rest of the sounds.
What can it be?

Perhaps they become corrupted during the download process? If using Netscape, you may have to right click, then save as. Do they play ok when you click on them in Explorer? The wavs are fine, I think something is happening when you are downloading them.
One thing you could try is to put the questionable wav into the /sounds base directory. This would become the default sound for any plane that doesn't already have it's own sound directory. Then see if it still kicks you out.

I don't have a big bass system and your P51 sound gives me a constant 'stuck servo' tone. Otherwise, it sounds great! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
