There was a lot more than that upstairs  :)  He went out to the north and came back in low hoping that everybody would still be up high.  Well it was quieter for him, but he had nowhere to go after he went over the target.

Film shows 22 Hurris and 9 Spits hitting us over the target

They were then joined by another 4 hurris as we left the target, 2 of which I managed to oil up and then 4 more spits came in as we approached the coast.  One pulled out too hard on my 6 and seemed to shed his wings.  Another followed me out to the channel where he finally flew through my last gun.  Near as I can make out our half dozen trios and seven escorts were attacked by 39 fighters.  Somebody had it quiet somewhere.

Flew the colander home from there and landed rather peacefully.  We gathered round looking at each others holes, (as you do).  ;)

Nope, was A22 after the main force was killed/driven off.  I had already landed my oil-less spitty and saw the base flashing so jumped to the tower to investigate.
