Is there any place to find out how a squadron or individual has done in the FSO, without having to go into the events log and spend half a day reading through it.

Yes. You can go to the event log and use ctrl+F to find the individual or squad you're interested in.
Sorry for being a smartarse, but that's the easiest way I can think of.

I have a bad habit of flying into the ground even though I'm not damaged. When this happens, the log says crashed by my name. I ctrl + F my name to find the guy that out flew me.
You can also go to "view stats" instead of "view log" and get comparitive totals.

It would be great if one of the technically knowledgeable people wrote an applet that would do that for us. :)

All-time squad stats would definitely be interesting and a worthwhile addition. Maybe have them break down by the squad, and then the individual pilots.

I believe the application already exist. It might take a little adjustment but it is used in compiling the pilot and squadron stats for the MA's.
