Reading some reviews and it seems like it is living up to its hype

Sounds terrible. Just solidified my "no" answer to my kids, who wanted me to attend with them.

Its probably all hype...but there is that slim chance its done well and would keep me up at night with the covers over my head. And I cant have that.

Its a remake of a two year old movie and no hype can help it. In fact its not even a remake its a rethinking...

Actually it is not a remake. It is an indie film that was originally planned to be re-made with a new cast. Spielberg watched it and decided nothing needed to be changed (supposedly Spielberg became paranoid about a bathroom door after watching it) and left it as it was originally made. It has been touring in horror film festivals and across college campuses and was found to be really good, so paramount is releasing it nationwide now.
So the version you see in the theater is the $11,000 budget film originally shot.

Did you even read past the third word? :D

I did and wasn't sure what you meant by "a rethinking"

If this movie is really scary, then the only people qualified to deal with this is...
Who ya gonna call?

I was just hoping it didn't suffer from Blair Witch Syndrome....because the hype about that movie was very similar and we saw what happened there lol.....I can't get my g/f to go see it with me lol I asked her and she was : :bolt:

It was ok. I never heard the movie until a friend told me about it. Its not that scary but well done.
Its funny to hear people in the theater a lot of them thought it was all real. I can hear them behind me "I cant believe this really happened." :rofl

I saw a ghost Confederate Civil War Soldier when I went to Adrian College. This one was in Downs Hall, in a tunnel that was used in the Underground Railroad and was "closed". It is filled in at the Theta Chi house, but boards were used at the Downs Hall end. Saw various canned good cans of the Pre-1900's, couple of broken plates, rusted flatware allowed to remain in an untouched state. He was chasing a slave down the steps, tripped and fell on his sabre.
Witnessed a second one sending every instrument bonkers for well over 5 minutes at a time (happened almost nightly) in Cornelius Hall at Adrian College.
Both are well documented Nationally.
Ohhh, you're talking about a movie.
