I just received my order of Arctic Silver's "Arctic Ceramique " from newegg and was looking for some opinions/thoughts
in the past I have always used either Artic Silver 3 or Artic Silver 5......... then I ran across some postings to where people had made a fault and their applying of Arctic silver 5 ended up shorting out their MB or Processor because of the Silver content......
anyhows this was my reasoning for opting for the Artic Silver's "Arctic Ceramique " Thermal Compound this go around.....
has anyone used this? if so what has been your results?
in a comparison test study I found, it seems to be inline with the Artic Silver 3 properties ......

I've used AS5 for years. As for the 'faulting the MB', they must have been very sloppy and either appliced too much that is leaked out the sides and got on the MB, or they dripped some on the motherboard itself. Otherwise, if properly applied there should be no issues...period.

Arctic Silver thermal paste should be stored in the fridge, too; that also helps thicken it up for application, so it's easier to get the desired amount on the CPU. If you're worried about not that letting it flow into the groves properly when you seat the heatsink, drape a piece of paper over it (to help keep dust from settling on it) and let it warm to room temperature first.
I don't have time right now to look them up, but am I right in remembering that "Ceramique" is their thermal epoxy? That stuff seems like it would be just as likely to spill as the thermal paste, but the end result is the CPU and heatsink becoming one...forever.

this Ceramique from ArcticSilver is scored with a B+ , just lil over +1 degree C difference than with using ArticSilver 5 scoring an A+.....

That's for the response subject. If it exceeds 80 characters you'll get that error.
