ok so im writing this paper for my NJROTC and its topic is "does America still have heroes". i know the answer is yes but i dont know how to explain very well. kinda in need of some quick help.... its due tomorrow.
-
Next time don't wait until the last minute.
-
I'd start by explaining why you know the answer is "yes".
-
well i cant figure out a thesis statment.
-
definition of hero: a person who, in the opinion of others, has heroic qualities or has performed a heroic act and is regarded as a model or ideal. example: He became a local hero when he saved the drowning child.
So your thesis statement would be whether or not there are still heroes (in your opinion, or in the opinion of the people you're citing as examples of having/not having a hero).
Then whichever you choose (yes there are/no there aren't), you place your supporting info.
-
If you choose yes, you can sift through articles for local heroes in your own community. :)

Two words.
Pat Tillman.

thanks mom.. sandman I havent got a clue who that is... if he is famous I blame it on Georgetown High school

A hero doesn't have to be limited to a branch of the military police or rescue department. They could be a leader in your community or elsewhere, they could be a group of people, it could be someone who lives down your street, it could be your mom dad, grandpa, friend whatever.

Wow Scotty, I got mine done IN ROTC class, on their computers. Cap'n is gonna drop you to 15-6 sailor!
Oh, and it's pretty easy, I got that done in a good 10 minutes, just kinda putting together what I know about modern times (like 1st grade info, stretched out on 2 pages, with big words and excellent grammar.) I also ended it with a famous quote (think it was "America is a tune, it must be sung together")
Oh, and I go to the same school as 1Sum, and we have the same classes together. :lol ;)
