Title: And then the fight started
Post by: Getback on October 24, 2009, 11:58:33 AM
Last night some buds of mine were defending against Bish. I guess the Bishops were doing NOEs. So one of them was looking around to see where they might strike next. He saw cv 242 blinking but no dar. So he goes to 242's tower and takes a look. Believe it or not there was a goon so close that he could see the icon. He ups a spitfire, tells his squadies to be on the look out for an noe in the area and chases down the goon. One of his squadies spots a huge herd of 110s on the deck, the call goes out. The mayhem begins, the squadies, and several friendlies rally, they kill many of the 110s, and 6 goons (yep 6 goons).

Channel 200 becomes alive with many cries of contemptuous outbursts of malevolent play. Through the fog of war, the mayhem, and the bloody screaming, a message goes out on 200 to the first goon driver dispensed. "Thanks for the PM warning of the impending attack!"

And then the fight started!  :bolt:

The Widowmakers cames across a couple NOE "mishuns".   The last one was just hilarious.   Rooks managed to drop a field gun and two barracks.   Mind you they dropped bombs in town AND MISSED hitting a single building.

It's even better to catch an NOE mission that has flown 5-6 sectors.  Up a speed burner and fly right through the attackers and kill their ONLY goon. priceless.

LMAO Great story!

Amazing how many mishuns can be found out just by staying alert to the map

Dred and Stodd   :salute You guys got it. I think the others took it a bit too seriously. Oh it's a true story! When it was told to me I laughed because of the way the events took place. It reminded me of that old circulating e-mail of he said/she said, where at the end it always said "and then the fight started".

That takes considerable talent.  :joystick:
