And why? Buying either of these phones today and can't seem to come to a decision. Need some feedback to point me in the right direction.

From the technical side, Blackberry has more inherent security features for your high-use systems, email, browsing, legacy system connections but the iPhone is "prettier" and has more 3 rd party accommodations and is much more versatile.

In other words, if you want something that is reasonably secure...get the Blackberry.  If  you are not conducting business with your phone, grab an iPhone.  Next year, iPhone will let companies develop corp enterprise security protocols of their own using the source code back-end I believe so it will be as secure as enterprise Blackberry servers at that time...according to the info roll-out by Jobs a few weeks ago.

I will stick with my Blackberry Storm

What do you want to do with it?

those old nokias were almost indestructible.  i knew a guy that sunk his phone in 20 feet of water, swam down and found it, cleaned all the mud out of it and it worked the next day.

Get the HTC phone that is out I believe its called the Touch Pro but dont quote me on it.  It uses Mobile Windows and is better than iphone and having a touchscreen is better than the scrool wheel of the blackberrys.

I myself have the AT&T tilt which is made by HTC and is the model that was sold before the Touch Pro or whatever it is called today.  Im dreading the day when my phone finally decided to cease functioning because in my opinion it is the perfect phone.  Between having touch screen, QWERTY keyboard, Mobile windows OS, and the ability to type up reports with Mobile Office and use the 1000s of third party software for the phone makes the phone nearly perfect.

That and the features of the windows phones is a lot better and all programs are free to download and install on the windows phones.  iPhone you have to pay for many of them.  Having a built in gps and you can download gps programs and some programs have the directions spoken to you like owning a real GPS without paying a dime extra to use the gps.  My favorite is the program that allows me to connect my laptop to the internet through my phone.

I hate apple and refuse to buy any of their products but that is just me.

I recently bought an iPhone 3GS. Like you I hate (well, more like seriously dislike) Apple and their business practices, however the phone that they have made is absolutely awesome. I might look into "jail breaking" it, but even if I don't I simply cannot not have this phone in my life... Even if Apple are complete dicks. It's sort of like the Germans... I don't much like them, but I love their cars.

I've give Apple props for the iPhone to a certain extent.  However, just like their PC's, any type of maintenance is to be done only through them (Apple/ATT).  I mean come on, lets design a phone heavily dependent on a battery and then make it not easily replaced by the average consumer?  The first gen was soldered to the circuit board while the newest is a pressure contact.  Unless you're good with electronics and want to void any type of warranty you had, you're not going to be able to replace it.  A buddy of mine at work just picked a 3GS and as much as he plays with it he's charging it at least twice a day.

Do not listen to this man. I have a Samsung Intrepid. Windows Mobile 6.5. It doesn't get newer.

It's a terrible operating system for a phone. Unless you absolutely require Remote Desktop and Office Mobile for daily business, it's worthless.

I'm sure most Germans are nice, but I was thinking of their businessmen.

This one built my car... sort of:

I use it in construction daily sending videos to subs of their stuff not being put together right. I go through 2 batteries, my Mophie JuicePack Air, and the iphone battery by the end of the day. N fact its so useful, i'm transitioning our office over to them from the Black berries. Im not a fan of apple by any stretch of the imagination, I think of them as vegetarians and Prius owners - both of whom I could beat the crap out of. But if there is an appliance that makes doing my job easier, the iphone would be it.

That are the top 3-4 things you want the phone for?

If you want it as a media or game platform web browsing ,Or just a random silly app. The iphone is the way to go

Battery life, blackberry messaging, texting or email I would go for the Iphone.

I have one of the android phones from Tmobile,  Some things I love some things I hate.  I am guessing they are all like that.

I dont see how your saying its terrible.  I absolutely love my phone and dreading the day that it finally craps the bed.  I will purchase a Windows phone again in the future just because of the experience I have with this phone.

HTC Touch HD

Bought one early this year, been a great business phone. Best of all it's unlocked I can travel between Aus,NZ and Bali and just stick in a local sim card. You can download an application and software for just about anything free. Big screen is great for movies, web etc.

Plus no apple tax. More specs then IPhone and it's cheaper.

Bought my Intrepid a week before it came out. 3 days later, bought the fiance a Palm Pre.

For entertainment, web browsing, gps navigation, and just simple calling.. the Palm Pre is far superior. Syncs and operates like any iPod to grab media, the menus are faster and easier to navigate, the screen is much larger, the integral storage is much, much larger. Programs actually close when you flick them away. The downside is there are not yet that many apps for WebOS (yet).

The Intrepid (win mobile 6.5)... not happy with. Did a few things right... Sync'd right away to Outlook, but the single, 4-wide strip of icons is annoying and unsorted. Programs keep running in the background without killing them via the task manager. On board storage is a joke. Mobile Office is so tiny it's kind of a joke, and it's been easier for me to just remote desktop into a machine with a real copy of MS Office. 3rd party app selection is only mediocre at best if you've seen the iPhone's app store. The sole thing that makes it worthwhile for me is Windows Mobile SDK. I can write my own apps, and that makes me happy... but I'm willing to bet 99.9% of windows mobile users have no idea how to do that.

That said, there is 1 single thing that Windows Mobile did for me that WebOS could not (at least not yet). I needed Google Gears for some web based apps. Installed Gears, but IE Mobile would not execute any of the sites. I had to go get Opera Mobile installed, and that worked. So out of the box, the Intrepid was no good and took an extra 3rd party app to be able to do what I wanted it to do... but it did work.

I'm no expert but I really do like my iPhone. I keep my grocery list on it. Have a conversion program, my music, gps, e-mail, pictures, surf the net, etc. Pretty darn nice. easy to use. I often just use the speaker phone to talk and no complaints.
