Title: Recovering a FW
Post by: maddafinga on October 26, 2009, 07:49:56 PM
I believe they said this one was ditched in the Baltic?  I could easliy be wrong on that however, so don't hold me to it.  At any rate, really great pics of the bird being pulled back out, and in good condition, considering.

Definitely a diamond in the rough. Do they intend to restore it at all?

Great post there, thanks. I hope they can restore it. Any idea how or why the plane was ditched?

IIRC, this was an emergency landing and the plane sunk to it's retrieval location.   Pilot was ok.

wow .. that is amazing for how long it was in the water.
Love that you can still see the markings and emblems :)

I hope they restore it (altho I doubt if there is much original on it that can be used if they are gonna fly it :)

Very nice find ..thanks for postin it.
