Title: perk planes in DA!
Post by: justIN on October 28, 2009, 11:27:25 AM
The temp,P51D and the typhoon all should be put in as a perk plane in the DA it would be fun if aces high would stat a few planes as perk planes in this areana.
By making these couple planes perks it might stop some of all the hoin going on.
And one more idea self kill your self if you head on ho just like when you shoot the same country that will stop the hoin and bring back the fun in a good fight.
Yes I no you can aviod the ho!

Sorry no.

DA furball lake is just a sideshow, the main purpose of the Dueling Arena is... well: dueling. Perking those planes would prohibit duels in them.

It's not the planes that are causing the HO attacks it's the players flying them.  Restricting the planes available isn't going to change their behavior.  Plus it could potentially have an adverse affect on the players who wanted to up at fields away from furball lake and duel in those planes, you know in the "Dueling Arena".

Wrong on so many levels.

The lake is a free-for-all dude. Its all for sh*ts and giggles, and none of it counts. Fly whatever you want, and have fun doing so.

Look, learn to HO back if it bothers you that bad. Any plane can end any other plane's sortie most of the time with good shooting on a HO. Take a few deaths to educate them as to WHY HOing is generally a poor tactical choice.

The planes you named aren't the most common in the furball lake, nor, are they, with the possible exception of the Temp, the most effective. The Spit16 is at least as common as the Temp, much more so than the P-51 and especially Typh. Hell, the Hurri is more common than these two types much of the time. The P-51? This is about as sub-optimal plane for the furball lake as can be imagined, and you want to perk it?  :huh

No need to perk planes in the DA.  I have always thought of it as a TA with real consequences.  It is a fun training tool for whatever you may be wanting to improve upon at any given time.

I disagree with perking anything in the DA, but will take this opportunity to laugh in the general direction of the Temp/4-Hog, 20,000FT crowd who lands their 2 picks every chance they get.

"Furball" lake, my behind.

Come on over to the MA, the Tempest is a much less abundant breed. I can't say anything about the hoing though.

You can't even accumulate perks in the dueling arena.  It's just a practice arena or a special events-type arena on a micro level.

So I say +1 to your idea to perk the Temp, F4UC, F4U4, etc.  It'll be hard to fly them with 0 perks.
