Post by: Brooke on October 30, 2009, 02:46:29 AM
The Red Storm - Krupp Steel scenario runs in two days.  Walk-ons (unregistered players) are welcome.  Show Up time is 3 pm Eastern in Special Events II arena.

Time converter:  http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html?year=2009&month=10&day=31&hour=15&min=0&sec=0&p1=179&p2=136 (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html?year=2009&month=10&day=31&hour=15&min=0&sec=0&p1=179&p2=136)

It's late-war action on the eastern front!  Dogfighting, bombing, ground attack, tank battles.  109's, 190's, Ju 88's vs. La's, Yaks, P-39's, A-20's, Il-2's, B-25's.  Tigers and Panzers vs. Shermans and T-34/85's.

Come get some action in the winter skies.

They are? Good because I might show up some days I didn't register because I don't think I can be there every week.

4 lives for GVers and deaths to a/c do not count against your life count.  There is however, a 5 minute wait time in the tower after each death.

Come Comrades!  Let us burn Germany together!

Yes walkons are quite welcome.

The only thing we ask is that all walkons be willing to listen and follow orders, understanding the fact that this event is different (read: better) than the MA.

Walkons who come in and fly away from their assigned group straight to the action get either quickly booted from the arena, or dispatched of quite easily by the enemy.

Walkons who come in and have read the rules in advance, and follow a "listen first" policy, often end up having the best time they have had yet in AH.

Well that is 30 mins after the start (nominally) if you work with HAVE to get on the Russian side (IL2 I assume) I don't see what a player who is commited to the event cannot come in late if he is briefed and has his orders.  I had a guy in my unit come in about that for the Beta.

Yep, send a PM to "Have" (his BB ID).  You can probably work it out with him.

Nice job AXIS!!  There was a whole bunch of fighting and flying done right up until the bell rang. Nice pix of pelts there Stampf. Be careful you don't post too many, the Allies might not be able to fill their slots!   :rofl

Folks, if you want your screenshots from the film viewer to have the same cloud colors as in the scenario, you can go into your Aces High, set ColorFog[Day] = 169/169/172 and ColorSky[Day] = 211/211/214 and click "Save" button.  Then your film viewer will use those colors, too.  You can get back to defaults by clicking the "Default" button and the "Save" button.

The screen shots look great either way, though.

The AXIS, determined to Rule the ....map... and battle  :) , have a few slots and they might go very fast. GV drivers-those of you who can commit to long silence and then big battles come see the Walk on coordinator. Ask for an AXIS Seat. To be fair-both sides will need people. GV Drivers get 4 lives in this event. Pilots get 2 lives.

Since this is always a dynamic endeavor, real life issues affect both sides and frees up slots for a single frame or the remainder of the event sometimes. It is understood and happens.

If you have never flown in one and would like to take a test ride, join us Saturday Nov 14th SEAII Arena, and try to be early. I'd recommend not later than 2:45pm EST in order to get an early seat, get suited up and briefed by your Group Leaders or Flight leaders.

If you've never had the chance to fly (or tank) in a scenario they'e about the most fun you can have in a sim (IMO)...some frames your the windshield others the bug and occasionally both. I've got clips from the last two up as well as some pics form the current one. Here is a clip from frame 1 2nd mission...a bit of windshield, a bit of bug and a whole lot of fun :airplane: :joystick: :x :rock :furious :furious :aok :salute

Allied rides are more fun though!

 :aok

Seriously, if you have not attended one of these things they are a breath of fresh air compared to the MA. Walkon's are welcomed as long as you are respectful, attentive and follow your group leads.
