Directx 11 movies are nice, but show me actual gameplay footage, not something generated

I want to shoot an ICBM with sidwinders from less than a mile out and then escape the mushroom cloud with afterburner. :airplane: :rofl

Those cutscenes were generated using the in game engine.

No, not pre-rendered, THQ claimed those movies were made with the in game engine. Too bad THQ ran into cash problems and pulled the plug on the game.

Now we need a internet to handle all that graphic transfer. Wouldn't be great to have a MMO with graphics like that? There would be a lot yard work not getting done then!

Graphics aren't transferred over the internet. All those skins/models are locally generated on your computer. The only data that travels back and forth is your position, movement, voice etc.

I don't know, the physics looked bad from those scenes, and the planes were all uncreative amalgamations of current birds. Half F-15 half F-14? A-10 with the engines simply moved into the tail itself. Either use the real birds or be more creative with your own aircraft.

As a purist I would agree but as a guy that likes flight sims the more the merrier! :devil

That cinematic intro CG animation was done by RealtimeUK, a UK based visual effects studio. It was in no way, shape or form made with any game engine. It was completely pre-rendered using 3D Studio MAX.
