Title: Columbia University Science Fiction Club By-Laws
Post by: AKKuya on October 31, 2009, 04:46:32 PM
http://www.columbia.edu/cu/cusfs/constitution.html

Found this while looking at various colleges and universities for fun.  Tuition costs, academic programs, and assorted stuff.  This fell into assorted stuff.

Take the time to read the first 10 Articles of their Club Constitution.  Starting at Article 11 is when the laughter starts.

The homepage of the club states they are the only club on the campus university that will survive a nuclear attack.  After reading, I believe they have spent "a little too much time on it".

I can see 5 pimple-faced, hunch-backed nerds crouching over a laptop with Dungeons and Dragons lying on the floor of their basement writing this... And it's definitely funny!

Dan Akroyd's brother was a professor there in pychology investigating the paranormal.  He was the inspiration for the movie "Ghostbusters".

I like the part in their constitution about protecting the Federal Reserve and the All Star Cheerleaders. :rofl

Article 11 section 6:
"Exterminate remaining Columbia bureaucrats including, but not limited to, Board of Managers, Board of Trustees, Columbia Library Systems Staff, Columbia Residence Hall Staff, Alfred Lerner Hall staff, Joint Budgetary Committee, Low Library personnel, Class Deans, and FUSEAS administrative staff."

Sounds to me like the Feds need to look into these guys.

I don't know what everyone is laughing about, at least they have a plan.  That is alot more than more than most organizations have.  Never dis on prior planning, no matter what is it!  :)

I actually find this funny, and I am ashamed at myself that my first thought reading that was "Oh crap, these guys are gonna get busted!"
