Title: 333RD F/S. Itchy _itch

Found this picture of Itchy _itch & a profile can't seem to find much else about it or this squadron. If the profile is correct it seems interesting only because of all the white surfaces. Also are P38H skins permitted & if so what do they fall under G or J?

This plane is a L. The h part of the thread is not the same issue. Guess I should have separated that huh?

note the intake in the top picture (big intake) . My guess is it's a J, real hard telling from that angle though. 

those could be small intakes though...Guppy will come along and tell us  :)

Profile say's it is an L.

Profile says L, but it also shows Itchy _itch III. Pic could be a J as it has no Roman numeral that I can see. OTOH, the caption in the book seems to indicate the plane pictured is the one he went down in.

D'oh, didn't look at the profile that closely, and I misunderstood the question about 38Hs.

I guess it would have been a little hard for the pilot to loose another two planes if he was in a prisoner of war camp? So best bet profile is wrong. Edit----> OK here we go I guess I should have read a little bit more than I did.

So I would say the plane was the 3RD in name only & the profile is wrong or it was added later?
