The Me-163 is actually a rocket, not a jet.
That aside I can't say much as I've ever looked that much into jets, there not my interest in WW2. So I'll let someone who isn't oblivious comment.

The Meteor yes, no to the P-80 unfortunately it did not see service in WWII.

The metor would increase AH2 epeen by a lot. :aok

I know I love epeen!

i would like the Meteor, but its slow for a jet, i think a P51 or an La7 can catch it. (but then again...what cant an La7 catch?)
-
D.H. Vampire, anyone? ;)
Only a few P-80s made it to Italy, right at the very end of WW2 in Europe. They were there to be tested under operational conditions and never saw action. By the time Korea kicked off, they'd been redesignated F-80s (and the P-51 had become the F-51).

Meteor III would do about 440-450mph on the deck and about 480-490mph at best altitude.

Meteors for the RAF? Yes please!
And V-1 Doodle Bugs for them to down.

IIRC, the ME 262 was still more maneuverable than the Meteor was though it would be a fun match up.
ack-ack

If we are going to talk about craft that would be fun to have, rather than to help fill out a planeset, then Saab J-21 anyone?
