Title: Typhoon eye candy, mmm.
Post by: Kazaa on November 02, 2009, 04:37:58 PM
Does anyone remember the good old "AH2 has a great flight model but the graphics suck." line? :lol

Special thanks to Waffle for the beautiful 3D model and Jacko for the beautiful skin.

Did some blur effect on this one.

A couple more angles, look at that view!

Currently still using my 8800GTX, I'm able to run AH2 pretty much cranked at 1600x1080 and achive 70+ average FPS. (Shadow textures are 4000, can't run them smooth without frame rate plummeting )

Thanks for the support guys. :aok

I use Paint Shop Pro X2, for the top picture I did as follows:

Raised the RGB values by 15.
Applied "Vivid Filter".
10% "Cross Process".
Used the magic wand to highlight the background and applied 9% blur. I was going to do the same for the other two but the process takes forever!

All in all I didn't want to go to crazy, I just wanted to show off the plane/ground/water textures but make the colours a little more vibrant.

that's better than what it looks like in-game right? i got the hardware for full graphics at 1900x1080 and I still can't make it look that good.
