Title: Online backups - anyone here used CrashPlan?
Post by: RTHolmes on November 04, 2009, 08:05:36 AM
bored of swapping tapes around so looking at online backup solutions at the moment, just wondered if anyone has experience of CrashPlan Pro? Or any other recommendations infact.

Looks like a good system, you have an onsite server with backup clients, which is replicated online as an offsite backup. You pay a one-off fee for the client licenses, the server and unlimited online storage is free with no ongoing charges (eg. 10-client license $686).

I've been using Carbonite (http://www.carbonite.com/) for a few years now. Works well.
