Agreed.

When/if you decide to remove the swirl, do a diagonal slash type of deal. It would look much better than a plain horizontal chop-off :aok

For transparency - you need to have a GIF or PNG. JPEG won't do it. In GIMP, you can do a makeshift arced text using text to path or something like that. I haven't figured it out very well.
